WideFly WF28 PDA is designed with security in mind starting from scratch.
System Integrators and ISV (Independent Software Vendor) no longer
need to worry about changes of application & system configurations by unauthorized persons.
Security policies can be enforced such that sensitive
transaction and personal data in PDA cannot be retrieved, stolen
& misused by external parties. Standardization of wireless
and application security can be implemented easily.
End user operates
WF28 PDA like a dedicated working terminal instead of a consumer PDA, i.e. no games, music, movie, personal software or
other inappropriate programs which may
jeopardize system stability and reduce workforce's productivity.

The clear text based magstripe card reader (MSR) commonly available in POS market exposes security threat to data theft and misuse. PDA user is able to capture the data by small utility program easily, e.g. Notepad, Word & etc.
With WideFly's integrated MSR (coming soon), card data security policy can be enforced:
- Enhanced at system driver and firmware/hardware level, credit card data captured by the MSR is fully encrypted.
- Only licensed application developers are able to decrypt the card information
