Consumer Androids are NOT designed for reseller maintainability

Consumer Androids strive to pursue sleek casing and tout to be the thinnest and lightest.  Because of this, they are very difficult to be disassembled and assemebled.  Removing and attaching new touch panel is not an easy task since touch panel/LCD is a combined module but not a separated design. Consumers do not care how complicated the repair is performed but POS ISV/reseller do really care.

Widefly takes a completely different design approach. We strike the balance between style, robustness and the ease of repair. We hope the product looks slim among industrial grade counterparts (some are all very bulky) yet it is rugged enough for heavy duty. Easy repair is a key design principle that enables resellers and non-technical persons to perform repair with the least hardware knowledge and skills.

 
 
 

Simple disassembly and Easy touch panel replacement

Widefly designs the hardware from scratch for real reseller maintainability. The structure of hardware is simple. Only four essential parts, motherboard, touch panel, LCD and casing, that's all. Touch panel is separated from LCD - no cutting and attaching skill is required. This is a design most welcomed by resellers as touch panel is a tear and wear part.   Replacement is unavoidable.

Opening case is very simple and straight forward by removing screws. Different from most consumer Androids, non-technical person could disassembled and assembled WF360 in 2-3 minutes.
